Service Description

Fused Glass Gnome Plant Stake Workshop Add a touch of charm and personality to your garden or plant pots in this fun and creative fused glass workshop! In this session, you’ll design and make your own adorable glass gnome plant stake using colourful glass pieces, frits, and decorative elements. You’ll learn the basics of glass cutting and design, and be guided step-by-step to create a unique gnome full of character. Whether you prefer bright and whimsical or soft and subtle colours, your finished piece will be completely personal to you. Your gnome will be kiln-fused after the workshop and ready to collect at a later date, suitable for both indoor plants and outdoor use. No experience is necessary – this workshop is perfect for beginners as well as those who have worked with glass before. All materials, tools, and tuition are included. Come along, relax, and enjoy creating something truly special for your home or garden.

The Glass Needle – Fused Glass Workshop Terms & Conditions 1. Booking & Payment Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Bookings are non-refundable but may be transferred to another date with at least 72 hours' notice, subject to availability. I reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop. If this occurs, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund. 2. Age Requirements Participants must be 12 years old or above. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless otherwise stated. 3. Health & Safety Safety instructions will be provided at the beginning of the session. Participants must follow all safety guidance at all times. Closed-toe shoes are required; I recommend wearing comfortable clothing. Safety goggles will be provided. I reserve the right to refuse participation if I believe someone may pose a risk to themselves or others. 4. Workshop Content You will create one fused glass item, depending on the session type (e.g., coaster, sun catcher, tealight holder). If your item is being slumped into a mould to create a shape (e.g., dish or curve), please note that I am not responsible for the outcome, as results may vary due to the nature of the kiln process. Your piece will be kiln-fired and ready in 5-7 days. Completed items will be posted on The Glass Needle Student Page on Facebook. Please keep an eye on the page to see when your item is ready for collection. 5. Collection & Delivery Finished work must be collected within 30 days unless arranged otherwise. Postage can be arranged for an additional fee. I take care when packing, but cannot be held responsible for items damaged in transit. 6. Breakages & Liability Glass materials can be sharp. While I take all reasonable precautions, you participate at your own risk. I am not liable for injury or damage resulting from improper use of tools or materials. Accidental breakages of your work during firing are rare but can occur; I regret I cannot always offer replacements. 7. Photography & Promotion I may take photos during workshops for use on my website or social media. Please let me know if you'd prefer not to be photographed. All designs created remain your property, but I may feature your finished pieces for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested. 8. Code of Conduct Respectful and courteous behaviour is expected toward myself and fellow participants. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in being asked to leave the session without
